Wowe to you people in Belmont, CA

I have heard the news today about people who live in your city, Belmont, CA, whether they own a home or rent an apt. or condo cannot have the freedom of their choice to smoke. When is it going to stop? Till someone settles the score? The economy of your state is under IOU and you people of the state take smoking bans is more important. Well, you ask for your economy to go downhill. Tobacco farms is in the USA, and they are also part of the economy. Yes, they put stuff inside their cigs to make the taste, preserve it, and make the different brands. The very first tobacco smoked in this country was the Indian Tobacco. The Tobacco was used in ceremonies, treaties, and friendship among tribes and the new people. Now looking back at statistics of history, no native American died of cancer, died at an earlier age of due to smoking, chiefs grew to a very old age and the smoking never bothered them. So where are your statistics that all smoking causes cancer. What really causes cancer is the stuff that our smog industries put into the air, what the cars shoot out of their mufflers. That is more important to me, than just smoking. Next you are going to say insense burning causes lung cancer, it is smoke, so it must cause cancer. Then you will religions who uses them on your backs.

Also, you must understand, not everybody's body is the same, everyone is different, some to handle smoking, some cannot. So some is not everyone. Some have asthma, some do not. Some have cancer cells that they are born with, and some do not. Some can get cancer not even related to smoking, but yet it can be easily blamed for it.

Also keep in mind, private property is private, not public. If you pay rent, your property is private. If you own a home, your property is private. Those of you who are affected by this law, post signs private property, no trespassing. They cannot go into your home unless it is up to you and they abide by your property rules. They cannot accuse anybody smoking inside their own home unless they can prove it. So by not allowing these people into your home, they cannot prove a thing.

Also, keep in mind, I grew up with a smoker, I also smoke, and there is nothing wrong with me, and I am in my 40's. My father smoked since I was 2 yrs old. So, where is it showing in my health? My health is fine just like a lot of other people around my age who also smoke and grew up with a smoker. It is nothing at all but a big scare to benefit something called control and to force companies out of business and not just Tobacco companies. Native American Casinos are closing due to lack of business due to smoking bans, bars and bar & grills are closing. The social life economy is going downhill while these people like to attack a group of people. It is so sad that our country has to stoop so low to benefit this type of control.

You know, I do not drink alcohol, but I do not try to make law that it should be banned. I have lost love ones due to alcohol, but do not blame the substance, I blame the person who consumes it, but again, I do not make law to ban it. I put up with it and live my life. Alcohol has a lot of side effects where it can also create instant death, again, I do not ban it. If the person is going to do it, the person is going to do it. It is all just to put the blame on something, either it is someone's illness, or someone's death. It is ridiculous and childish behavior. People need to grow up and live their lives. If they do not want something in their home, it is their home, guests must honer it or not go there. Plain and simple. Same for a business, a business owner who ownes the business decides whether to allow smoking in their business or not. If a guest does not like it, go somewhere else. A guest is not forced to stay there, where there are other places to go. Government buildings are different, they are owned by the government. They should have rules to where all people can go to.

So, I feel sorry for the smokers in Belmont, CA. Maybe moving out of Belmont will show the city that maybe they can afford a serious loss of population. When the city gets its census and finds out that they loose benefits due to a large decrease in their population, they might wake up. The safest place for a smoker to live is in the rural township home, away from these people who do not have anything else better to do with their lives but put bans on everything.

Since the smoking ban struck my city, we cannot smoke in any public places, including bars, it does not pertain to private places like homes and apartments, but hallways where there is public are no smoking. I either go out of the city to the rural township bars and social places. Also, I smoke inside my own home, both native American and white man tobacco, and I have parties and invite friends who smoke and those who don't mind smoke. We watch movies, have food & beverage, and socialize. We are not missing the clubs, bars, and restaurants. But they do miss us. The places that get our business are Grocery stores, convenience stores, Tobacco Stores, Drive Thru, Delivery, and carryout places. The other places do not get our business until they learn to stand up and fight back against the smoking ban.

Movie of the day: Little Big Man

Little Big Man

Starring Dustin Hoffman. The beginning of the movie, Dustin Hoffman playing as little big man and Jack, being a 121 yr old man, tells his life story that goes way back to the 1800's when the settlers were heading west to settle in to make a new life and the battle of Little Big Horn. The movie starts out when Little Big Man was a boy with his family. His family gets attacked by Pawnee Indians and both Jack and his sister, Caroline, gets taken by the Cheyenne Indians to be raised. Later, Caroline leaves because the Cheyenne thought that she was a boy not a girl. Jack then grows up, makes friends with the Cheyenne. Shadow adopts him, and Old Liveskin becomes his adopted grandfather, played by Chief Dan George. His grandfather tells him a story of Little Man, through a story of Little Man who was attacked by the Pawnee. Then, while he was at a Pawnee camp about to attack the Paunee, he saves Younger Bear's life. Here, he gets his name as Little Big Man for his bravery.

Then they get into battle of the union soldiers, and that is where he goes to the American Civilization. He gets raised by a preacher and his wife, Louise Pendrake, played by Faye Dunaway. The preacher is a person who likes to beat as a method to converse the kid to Christian, and his wife is a very loose woman of the west. He then discovers how the two really are and leaves them both and never went back to religion again.

He then pairs up with a medicine man, Meriwither who keeps loosing parts of himself through bad sales. Through him, he remeets his sister, Caroline, who tar and feather him and Meriwither, and becomes a gunfighter of the west and meets Wild Bill Hickok at a saloon, another the famous gunfighter of the west, the Sodapop kid. He becomes friends of Wild Bill and sees what it is like being a gunfighter at a death of a person shot by Wild Bill, this ends his gunfighting days.

Then Caroline leaves him and he gets married to a woman, Olga, and gets into being a storekeeper. Then when he looses everything due to his business partner being a thief, he then meets Gen. Custer and they move west and gets attacked by the Indians while riding a stagecoach. Olga gets taken by the Indians, and he goes looking for his wife.

He goes deep into Cheyenne Territory and goes back to his adopted native family tribe. His grandfather is pleased to see Little Big Man again and smokes for his return. He got to see his friend Little Horse and Younger Bear. Younger Bear becomes a backwards person who speaks opposite of what he means, do things opposite like use sand for washing, and water for rinsing. Here his grandfather learns about Gen. Custer through Little Big Man.

Then he goes back to the American civilization and meets Gen. Custer and goes into becoming a Union Soldier as a mule skinner. Then he goes into battle against the natives, he realizes what he got himself into and becomes a traiter to the union after he discovers who was being killed, he takes off from the souldiers, and gets a new wife, an indian girl, Sunshine, whose husband was killed. She has a baby while hiding in the bushes during the attack. He goes back home to grandfather and lives there for a while. He discovers his grandfather is blinded from a wound from the white man. He also discovers many tribes are being rubbed out by the white man and the tradition of scalping. He stays there for a year, then in the winter, he finds Olga who is the wife of Younger Bear. The union soldiers also makes an attack onto the camp. He looses his wife, Sunshine, and his new child and then goes back to the Union soldiers at a camp.

Here he meets Gen. Custer again and tells him who he is and that he is not a renegade indian. He tries for an assasination attempt to kill Custer, but fails. Custer discovers the weapon and dismisses him from the Union. He goes back to living in a white man civilization. He lives his life as a drunk among the whites. He meets Wild Bill again. He gets himself cleaned up and goes to the saloon where Wild Bill is at. He meets with him and tells him about a widow who is LuLu Caine. Wild Bill gets shot and killed, then he goes to meet LuLu Caine. He meets LuLu Caine who is the formerly Preacher's wife, Louise Pendrake. He sees what she really is and what her life has become. He tells her about Wild Bill and that she can take the train to go to Washington D.C. He then goes back to being a street bum, and remeets with Meriwither. He sees that he lost another part of his body, one of his legs. Meriwither wants to Jack to team up with him again, but Jack declines. Then when he reaches the bottom, he becomes a hermit deep in the wilderness.

Then he became suicidal and wanted to jump off a cliff when in a distance, the Union Army was marching by. He then changes his mind and went back to the union soldiers. He then gets back into being a scout and sets up the union army into trap against the Cheyenne Indians at Little Big Horn. The battle becomes outnumbered and the union souldiers and Custer gets slaughtered. Jack's life gets saved by Younger Bear. Jack goes back to the Cheyenne tribe to his grandfather, Old Liveskin and remains there.

Today's Movie of the day: Babel

Different cultures, different languages, 4 groups of people experience difficulties of what it is like with the current age of societies. The first setting takes place in Morocco where a couple who are tourists gets victimized by 2 boys who were believed to be terrorists who shot a rifle by accident. The wife gets shot in the bus and a language barrier for her to get the necessary help. Their kids, who are left in the US being taken care of by a Hispanic housekeeper who brings the 2 kids along with her to her own child's wedding. They celebrate in happiness at the wedding in Mexico, they travel back to the US and gets stopped at the border crossing. The vehicle gets searched and then the officers asks for the note from the parents of the 2 American kids. The driver, drunk, panicking, and scared, speeds off into the US with his mother who was being very helpful with the border patrol and the two kids. The Hispanic mother and the two American kids gets dropped off in the desert by her son and left alone. When daylight came, she seeks help and gets arrested for being an illegal Alien. Another setting is an Asian teen who is deaf and being mistreated by her father. She tries to get a boyfriend, but fails. So she tries desperate to find a lover and gets herself in trouble along with her father. Her father is the man who gave the rifle to the man in Morocco and that was given to the kids who used it to shoot the wife of the tourist. It was assumed that the rifle was in the black market when apparently not. It is a movie based on a lot of miscommunication and drawn assumptions. Innocent people getting hurt and being torn apart in a world of where language and culture is the barrier. At the end of the film, everything gets explained the right way and it makes the viewer feel like this is what happens in the real world of lost confusion.

It is a very nice movie with drama, some action, and can teach society of what happens when culture clashes in confusion. I give this film a thumbs up 4/4 star rating. I recommend in you either buying or renting this film for your viewing enjoyment.

You can check it out more here at Paramount Home Entertainment, or go to your local rental store or library and check the movie out.

Lets get America's economy back up!

People are out of work, terrible job losses throughout the country. We have a new president. We cannot just let him do all the work by himself. It takes the whole country to work with him. Lets get back to work and I know it will be a tough road to deal with.

What we need to do as Americans:

We need to go back to buying made in USA materials. When you go shopping, think of the jobs that will be gaining and the jobs that will be losing. If you buy a made in USA product, you can create more jobs for those products made in the USA. If you buy a product that is made outside of the country, you can lose jobs for products made in the USA. Simple put. Choose American made materials first before going to foreign made products. Stores like Walmart, Pier 1, Neimus Marcus, and several other like them must promote USA made products. Walmart, where I go shopping, has a lot of products made outside of the USA. They should tame down on that and think about what is happening in the country with the loss of jobs. You get what you pay for, that also include job losses. It is a non ending circle of economics. You buy foreign products and the money goes to that country, to their workers, they create more jobs for their workers. Nothing comes here but the product they make. People who don't buy USA made here, there is no demand and the supply goes up. Then companies start to lose money and they cannot support their workers. Then there are layoffs and then businesses closes leaving the worker with no money, high bills, and living on the street. It is crucial that we get America back on its feet to aim for USA made products and get the workers back to work again.

Products to aim for to get America back to work, look for labels that say made in USA, not Taiwan, China, Japan, Banglodish, and any other foreign country until our economy goes back up. It will be slow and it will take a long time, but if everyone acts together, we can help getting the jobs back to the industries of USA. If you go to a store and they don't have anything that is made in USA, tell the store about it. Tell them, you are living in USA and not one item here is made in the USA, all of it is from foreign countries. We need to support our country, too. Next time I come here to shop, I like to see some made in USA products. This will get the store to notice that in times of crisis like this, they should get USA made products into their store so people can buy them to support USA. For foreign made materials, leave that for the industries who buy them to add to their manufactured product for consumers to buy. You will still support USA and at the same time, it is also supporting the country that is sending them the parts to make that product.

USA made products should also be priced lower than foreign made products because these products should be purchased first over the foreign made. Not vice versa. Walmart has foreign goods priced cheaper than local goods. TVs are an excellent example. Foreign HD tvs are priced lower than the local made HD tvs. Where is the money going? Not to USA, but to the country where the tv came from. TVs like Zenith, RCA, Magnovox, and all other USA made tvs loses out. They stay on the shelf and then ends up on markdowns and not get sold. Jobs get lost. We have to start small and then rebuild back up. You as a consumer should also know who needs to be supported when shopping.

Companies who hire foreign workers should also beware. Not all foreign workers want to become US citizens. This percentage of foreign workers come here to work, then when they get their money, they go back to their country with our money and spend it there living a rich life in their country. I have seen this, myself. Local workers and foreign workers who want to become a citizen and live in the USA will keep the flow of money within the USA. Just because a foreign worker will take less money and do the job, does not mean they want to become US citizens and keep the flow of money within the US. They should be given the opportunity of becoming citizens. If they don't show interest of becoming US citizens, then why are they here. If they are here just for the money to take back home, then by looking at the economy, they should not be hired unless they show interest of becoming US citizens.

Years ago when America was young, new immigration settlers were coming to America, everybody wanted to start a new life, work hard, establish a family, and become a US citizen. Now, there is a large percentage of foreigners, legal and illegal, who come here to work, once they get the money they need, they go back to their homeland, spend it all there, and show no interest of being a US citizen. To some it may not be a big amount, but if per person makes $18,000 a year, and if you have 30 foreigners coming into the US not as a student, working that amount, then leave in 5 years with all that money by not paying taxes, here is that loss from those 30 foreigners alone: $2,700,000.00. That is how much USA loses out. If those 30 workers decide to become US citizens and stay in the US, that money will stay flowing in the US. It is like this, how will they like it if we go to their country, not to be citizens but to be workers there until we make enough to be rich in our own country, and then come back with all the money and their country goes broke. What employers should do is brng the question up at the time of interview of the person who is a new foreigner and see if they want to become US citizens. If they say no, it should be up to the employer to decide by looking at the economy and where the money is going in order to see if this person should be hired or not.

This is the way it should be: jobs in the US should be for citizens of the US, foreigners who wants to be US citizens residing in the US, foreign students in the US who are currently going to school in the US where the job is paying their education. Anything else, it should not be granted. Illegal aliens should also be given a choice: in order to work in the US, become a US citizen or go home with no pay. Illegal aliens should also pay the full taxes of the country while they are working for their citizenship due to they did not go through the proper channels of getting into this country legally. That is my thought on it.

Once our country do the things that are right to bring the economy back up, people in the country should also do the right things like consumers buy USA made goods, not foreign. Hire workers who are either US citizens, foreigners who wants to become US citizens, or foreign students who wants to pay for their education in the US. This way, the money stays in the US, and it flows in the US by bringing up the economy and leads to more jobs. It takes pure common sense and everybody must do their part.

If you get a stimulous package from the federal government, and you decide to spend it on purchasing goods. Buy things that are made in the US instead of foreign materials. That is what it is designed for. This is what the President wants. In order to make this work, people have to purchase made in the USA goods instead of foreign goods.
